Privacy Policy

No accounts, no signup

SIDE VS SIDE doesn't have user accounts. We don't ask for your name, email address, or any other personal information to use the site, vote, or create a battle.

What we store

When you vote, we store:

• An anonymous, randomly generated id in a cookie on your device (svs_vid), so we can recognize that the same visitor already voted on a battle and show you your result instead of asking again.
• The battle you voted on, which side you picked, and the time of the vote.

We don't log your name, email, or any other identifying account information, because we don't collect any. Clearing your cookies or using a different browser resets this anonymous id and lets you vote again — that's a known tradeoff of keeping voting signup-free.

What we don't do

We don't sell your data. We don't run third-party advertising or tracking scripts on the site today. If that changes — for example, if we introduce sponsored content — we'll update this page first.

Server logs

Like virtually every website, our infrastructure providers automatically log standard technical data for security and reliability — things like IP address and request timing. This is infrastructure-level logging, not something SIDE VS SIDE itself collects or uses for tracking.

Battles you create

Anything you submit through "Create a battle" (the two options, category, and optional description) is public by design — it's the content of the site. Don't submit anything you don't want visible to everyone.

Changes

If this policy changes in a way that matters, we'll update the date above. Continued use of the site after a change means you're okay with the updated policy.
